The 2023 Fastest-Growing US Staffing Firms list is now online. It comprises 158 companies - the largest number for this list - posting compound annual growth in revenue of 15% or higher between 2018 and 2022.

While pay remains important for STEM professionals, job security is as well, according to a study by Specialist Staffing Group. It found 53% of STEM professionals globally consider job retention more important than a higher salary.

The average starting salary for graduates in the college class of 2022 rose to $60,028 from $55,911 for the class of 2021, according to a report from the National Association of Colleges and Employers. That represents an increase of 7.4%."We can attribute the jump in starting salary for the class of 2022 to the large increase in new college graduate hiring - and the competition for this talent," Shawn VanDerziel, NACE president and CEO, said in a press release.
