BG Staffing Inc. (NYSE MKT: BGSF) named Beth Garvey to the newly created position of chief operating officer, effective immediately. Garvey joined Plano, Texas-based BG Staffing through its acquisition of InStaff in 2013, and she continues to serve as the division president of both InStaff and Donovan & Watkins. Garvey started at InStaff in 1998 as director of Human Resources. Presently, Garvey also serves on the advisory board for the Dallas Regional Chamber and serves as president of the Dallas Executive Women’s Roundtable.

IT solutions and staffing provider Pomeroy appointed Brian Robinson as CFO, effective Aug. 15. Robinson comes to Pomeroy from General Cable Corporation where he most recently served as executive VP, CFO and treasurer since 2007.
