Mexican economy likely expanded at slower pace YOY in May (EconoTimes)

Mexico’s economic activity is expected to have grown at a slower pace of 1.7% year-on-year in May, but still signifies a rebound from a sharp drop in April on a sequential basis, EconoTimes reports. Growth in industrial production has been largely fluctuating at a low level in 2016. It expanded 0.4% year over year in May, slower than the 12-month average rise of 0.8%. Therefore, the Mexican economic activity is expected to have grown at a slower pace of 1.7% year over year in May, but still signifies a rebound from a sharp drop in April on a sequential basis.
