Companies looking for seasonal workers turn to Puerto Rico (The Boston Globe)

Finding workers has become more difficult for summer vacation areas that hire seasonal employees — even more so with more stringent immigration controls. Now some companies are looking to Puerto Rico as a source for workers, according to a story in The Boston Globe. Puerto Ricans don’t need H-1B visas and many businesses on the island area remain closed following the damage caused by Hurricane Maria last fall.
