South Korea – Jobplanet plans for IPO in 2023

31 March 2022

South Korean talent platform Jobplanet is reportedly pursuing an initial public offering (IPO) to raise investment funds for growth and to help shareholders recover their funds.

Jobplanet was founded in 2014 and provides job opportunities for jobseekers as well as providing jobseekers with crowdsourced information about the welfare, culture, strengths, and weaknesses of potential employers, similar to the business model of US community job site, Glassdoor. The group said its goal is ‘to improve the transparency of corporate information, to resolve information asymmetry that may occur in the job market, and to ensure that everyone gets a job in a company that is right for them.’

Jobplanet aims to go public on the Kosdaq market in South Korea by the latter half next year.

Brain Commerce, the company behind Jobplanet, has named Mirae Asset Securities as the lead manager for the planned IPO.
