New Zealand – Seek appoints new country manager for New Zealand

05 July 2021

Australian job board Seek announced the appointment of Rob Clark as New Zealand Country Manager, following the retirement of previous country manager Janet Faulding at the end of June 2021.

Seek’s ANZ Managing Director Kendra Banks said Clark had been chosen after an extensive and competitive search over a number of months.

“We are thrilled to welcome Rob to the SEEK team,” Banks said. “Our people are our most important asset, and our focus is on building a culture of customer-focused innovation and commitment to our purpose. Rob’s leadership experience, developed in both New Zealand and overseas, will allow Seek New Zealand to pursue its vision and purpose.”

Previously, Clark was the Managing Director New Zealand for The Nielsen Company and has also held senior roles with the same organisation in Europe and parts of Asia, leading sales, account management and marketing functions.

Clark said, “Seek is an integral part of the Kiwi job-search process, and the country’s most visited employment site. But behind the market leading platform is an incredibly passionate group of people committed to Seek’s purpose. I am thrilled to be joining Seek, to help the team continue the great work that has been achieved to date.”

On Faulding’s retirement, Banks said, “In her decade of leadership, Janet’s vision has grown the connection between hirers and candidates significantly. She has worked tirelessly to support organisations in their quest for talent, and help countless candidates find meaningful careers. We are enormously grateful to Janet’s enthusiasm and commitment to the team and would like to thank her for her service.”

Clark will also be the spokesperson for Seek’s Employment Report, an indicator into New Zealand’s employment market.
