Japan – Link Staffing to transfer its domestic dispatch worker business

19 November 2021

Link and Motivation announced its wholly-owned subsidiary Link Staffing would transfer its domestic dispatch worker business to iDA, a human resources business specialised in the fashion industry.

An absorption-type split will be implemented with Link Staffing as the splitting company and iDA as the successor company.

The effective date is 1 January 2022. The transfer price is not disclosed.

Link has a matching division which includes an overseas temporary staffing/dispatching business, and a domestic temporary staffing business. IDA also has a temporary staffing business.

Link and Motivation will further accelerate "engagement matching" centered on OpenWork, a subsidiary that develops and operates the job change and employment information platform ‘OpenWork’.

The group decided that it would be optimal to concentrate business resources on strengthening Link Staffing's domestic personal placement business and decided to transfer the business.

“We will establish a higher profitability system by relocating all the human resources that have been hired and trained as a group within the group, focusing on strengthening the temporary staffing business,” the company stated. “In addition, iDA Co., Ltd., the transferee, is one of the top players in the dispatch of human resources in the sales field. We believe that providing support will contribute to the business growth of both companies.”
