Japan – Engineering staffing provider Artner reports sales up 11% in first nine months

Artner Co. Ltd. (2163:TYO), an engineer staffing and solutions provider with headquarters in Tokyo and Osaka, Japan, reported on Wednesday that sales rose 11.2% in the first nine months of its fiscal year ended 31 October. Gross margin narrowed while net income rose 25.8%.

The company’s fiscal year runs from 1 February through 31 January.

Artner forecast full-year revenue would be JPY 7.99 billion (USD 70.4 million), a year-over-year increase of 11.4%.

Share price and market cap

Shares in Artner closed down 1.50% to JPY 855.00 (USD 7.53) on Wednesday in Tokyo; shares were 10.61% above their 52-week low, according to FT.com. The company had a market cap of JPY 9.23 billion (USD 81.2 million).
