Japanese automaker Toyota announced that it has invested USD 600 million into Chinese human cloud ride hailing firm Didi Chuxing, reports Seeking Alpha. As part of the investment, the two companies will form a joint venture with GAC Toyota Motor to provide vehicle-related services to drivers on Didi’s ridesharing platform. The new joint venture will let Toyota and Didi shift to full-scale implementation of services for ride-hailing drivers that they have been developing in China.
