EmployBridge, TrueBlue announce executive moves

Industrial staffing providers EmployBridge and TrueBlue Inc. (NYSE: TBI) recently made announcements regarding their executive teams.

EmployBridge

EmployBridge, an Atlanta-based firm that ranks as the largest provider of industrial staffing in the US, announced two executives to its leadership team: Chief Digital Officer Don Sloan and Chief Legal Officer Gearoid “Gary” Moore. Additionally, Marshall “Skip” Wood has been appointed president of EmployBridge’s commercial division.

Employbridge also hired Deepak Gupta to advance its M&A capabilities as chief corporate development officer. The newly created role is responsible for the full M&A deal life cycle including sourcing, diligence and structuring.

“We’re thrilled that Don and Gary have joined our leadership team as we enter a new phase of accelerated growth that expands our services into key markets and further enables our clients to achieve their productivity and workforce goals,” EmployBridge CEO Billy Milam said.

Sloan will lead all EmployBridge’s technology business. He joins EmployBridge from Goddard Systems, where he was chief information officer. Prior to that, he held several IT leadership roles including CIO at Randstad USA and senior VP and CIO at Kforce Inc.

Moore will oversee all legal activities, corporate governance, contracts and procurement for EmployBridge. He has held leadership roles including chief legal officer at Constellis LLC and general counsel and corporate secretary at Aptara Inc.

Wood joined EmployBridge in May 2018 as VP of finance, a role that was expanded to VP of finance and operations - CFO in 2020. He has served as interim president of the commercial division since 2021 after the former president, Paul Seymour, retired. The company’s commercial business doubled its footprint in the southern region with its November 2021 acquisition of Hire Dynamics, where Milam served as CEO.

Gupta joins Employbridge’s executive team from Covanta, a sustainable waste and energy solutions provider, where he served as senior VP of corporate strategy and M&A from 2006 to 2021. His 30-year career includes more than 40 transactions totaling more than $8 billion in value across renewable energy, environmental services, industrial, telecom and retail.

TrueBlue reported PeopleReady Chief Sales Officer Kristy Willis’ role is expanding include serving as chief field operations officer for general staffing at the industrial staffing business line.

With the additional role, Willis will assume leadership of general labor field operations, leading a team in the US and Canada.

Willis joined PeopleReady in 2018 after a nearly two-decade career at Adecco.

TrueBlue also named Rick Betori to its executive team as managing director of the Americas, a new role focused on client delivery, implementation and sales across the Americas. Betori has served at TrueBlue for more than a decade, most recently leading field strategy and operations for PeopleReady.

Betori has worked for multiple TrueBlue brands during his tenure at the firm. Prior to joining TrueBlue, Betori was president of Wonderlic, a hiring assessment provider.
