Infosys to acquire US-based Salesforce consulting company for $200 million-plus

Infosys Ltd. (NYSE: INFY) announced plans in February to acquire Simplus for $200 million plus $50 million in employee incentives and retention payments based on performance conditions over the next three years.

Simplus, based in Salt Lake City, was established in 2014 and is a Salesforce consulting and platinum partner. It has more than 500 employees and posted revenue of $67.1 million in its last fiscal year.

“Simplus will be a valuable addition to the Infosys family,” Infosys President Ravi Kumar said. “Complementing our industry knowledge and existing Salesforce footprint with their strong presence in key markets, deep Salesforce consulting and advisory expertise will help accelerate the transformation journey of incumbent companies.”

The deal is subject to customary closing conditions.

VC Circle reported the deal marks Infosys’ second-largest acquisition.
