2015 was another strong year for the healthcare staffing industry, and our recently released Largest US Healthcare Staffing Firms Report shows how everything shook out in the end. According to the report, which ranks firms by our estimates of their temporary staffing revenue in healthcare occupations, 36 companies generated at least $50 million in revenue in 2015, making up a combined $8.2 billion (62% of the US market).

AMN Healthcare Services not only topped the list again, but increased its share of the US temporary healthcare staffing market to 11%, up from 9% in last year’s report, driven by both robust organic growth and its acquisition of Onward Healthcare. The largest five companies are listed in the table, and the entire list of 36 firms is available in our full report, as are lists of largest firms for each of the four healthcare sub-segments (travel nurse, per diem nurse, locum tenens, and allied health).
