UK – Freelancer management system drops Lystable brand, become Kalo

30 May 2017

Freelancer management platform Lystable is changing its name to Kalo. The firm made the announcement last month in a post on Medium by founder and CEO Peter Johnson.

“As we continued to develop this complete end-to-end platform solving the problems I experienced personally, we realized that the brand Lystable started to make less sense,” according to the post.

“The company had evolved beyond solving the first problem of ‘who are the best freelancers we’ve worked with before and how do we get them onboarded asap?’. It had expanded to encompass the entire freelance experience — from integrations right through to payment.”

Kalo was founded in 2014 in London. Paypal co-founder and former CEO Peter Thiel invested USD 1.5 million in the company in 2015, and Kalo raised USD 11 million in funding in 2016.
