Switzerland – Michael Page Swiss Job Index records increase in job ads for January

The Michael Page Swiss Job Index recorded an increase in advertised jobs of 26.4% in January when compared to last year. Monthly growth in January stood at 0.6%. The IT sector led the growth in advertised jobs.

“The demand exceeds supply for specialists – especially in IT and engineering,” Nicolai Mikkelsen, Director, Michael Page, said. “Candidates with specific industry knowledge, such as in banking, insurance, healthcare and the industrial sector, can expect to receive multiple offers providing they have a successful track record.”

The Mid region (BE, FR, JU, NE, SO) recorded the greatest growth with +7.4% (monthly) and 48.6%, year-on-year.
