Spain – Majority of workers satisfied with their current job

29 March 2018

Most Spanish employees are satisfied with the current labour market, according to the research from Randstad.

The study, which polled employees during the first quarter of 2018, showed that 74% of them are happy with their job. Employees under 25 were the happiest with their jobs (81%) and this was followed by workers over 45 years of age (73%). This was an increase over last year’s 81% for under 25 and 71% for over 45.  However, workers between 25 and 45 years reported a decrease in satisfaction with their current employment, going from 76% last year to 73% this year.

“The optimism of the labor market and the economic recovery motivates the employed to look for possibilities of continuous growth,” Luis Pérez, Director of Institutional Relations at Randstad, said. "It is time to apply tools and mechanisms that increase the satisfaction of employees in their job to build talent and strengthen their commitment. The greater the degree of satisfaction of the professional, the greater is his loyalty to the company. In this way the migration of talent is avoided and productivity in the company is increased.”
