SG Recruitment, a subsidiary of SGH Global, which is an international recruitment organisation focusing primarily on the healthcare sector, announced during its Annual General Meeting the appointments of David Sumner as Chief Executive Officer and Katie Hiess as Non-Executive Director to the Board of the Company with immediate effect. The company did not reappoint Steven Howson as Director of the company. Sumner is founder of parent company SGH Global. He has been carrying out his role as CEO since 1 April 2019 and the company is said it is “delighted to confirm his appointment on a permanent basis.” Hiess is an English qualified solicitor and was previously a founding member and Head of Legal Affairs at S.P. Moller Capital. Hiess began her career with leading international law firms, Clyde & Co LLP and Holman Fenwick Willan LLP and she has experience working in the UK, Middle East and Asia.

Resource Solutions announced that it appointed Sarah-Jane Walker to their senior management team as their Global Operations Director. Walker’s more than 20 years’ experience in the recruitment industry include a decade with global banking giant Barclays, where she was most recently Director of Early Careers. Prior to that role, she was also Barclays’ HR Director of Customer Experience and Global Head of Redeployment. Walker began her recruitment career with Office Angels, where she enjoyed multiple award-winning roles for both temporary and permanent hiring in the course of a 14-year career.

Specialist recruitment firm, Marks Sattin, part of Gi Group, appointed Matt Fitzpatrick as Executive Director to head up its Irish and International operations. Fitzpatrick, who returns to Marks Sattin after previously working with the firm in both Australia and Dublin, re-joins with a remit to enhance Dublin operations at the senior and executive level, driving growth plans for Ireland and international markets. Most recently at Capital Markets, Fitzpatrick brings 15 years’ recruitment advisory services experience, working in international markets including: Australia, Asia, Europe and US.
