Netherlands – Actief Werkt! acquires temporary staffing firm Prima Personeel

14 January 2019

Dutch temporary employment agency Actief Werkt! (Active Works!) announced that it has acquired Prima Personeel, a temporary staffing firm based in the Netherlands.

According to both companies, the acquisition is aimed at cooperation between the two companies and strengthening each other's services.

The Authority for Consumers and Markets Authority still has to approve the takeover. The process is expected to be completed by the end of January. No further financial details of the transaction were disclosed.

Prima Personeel stated that its ambition is to become the largest and best broadcaster in specialised branches for professionals in the Netherlands. The company mediates professionals in the fields of metal, installation, construction, painters, green, infrastructure (ground, road and hydraulic engineering) and marine & offshore.

Bastiaan Last, founder and owner of Prima Personeel, commented, “We really fit together. Both companies complement each other well in their services. As a result, our flex colleagues and professionals get a much broader range of available jobs. With the expansion of the range of services and a larger national branch network, clients can be better facilitated in their personnel needs.”

Actief Werkt!, part of the Actief Group, stated that ”the joining of forces with Prima provides Actief Werkt! with an entry to new specialist fields and will help both companies in their national rollouts.”

Ronald Kardol, director of Actief Werkt!, also commented, “There is a very strong match between Actief Werkt! and Prima Personeel. Both companies show many similarities in vision and culture and the core values fit well together. Both do more than just temporary staffing. A personal approach, involvement and sincere attention for employees and customers are both central to Actief Werkt! and Prima Personeel. In addition, the major importance of local presence and entrepreneurship applies to both companies.”
