France – Half of employers plan to increase salaries by 2.3% or more (Courrier Cadres)

Despite the ongoing pandemic crisis, half of French employers expect wage increases of 2.3% or more, reports Courrier Cadres, citing data from Willis Towers Watson. Half of HR directors are planning wage increases of at least 2.4% for 2021. A third of French employers have decided to freeze salaries or are planning to do so this year. The majority, or 8 out of 10 companies have no plans to reduce or defer annual premiums. The majority of employees required to work on site due to the nature of their duties receive bonuses. Meanwhile 38% of employees are entitled to special bonuses or increased wages, or benefit from flexible working hours, the study found.
