France – Demand for professionals, manager and executives strengthens

28 August 2015

There was greater demand for professionals, managers, and executive across France in July 2015 than during the same month last year, according to a survey from APEC, the Association for the Employment of Professionals, Managers, and Executives (Association Pour l’Emploi des Cadres).

The APEC Index registered 295 points in July, up from 284 points a year ago. The index is used as an indicator of the level of activity each month in comparison with the 100 index points in January 2014 when it was launched.

Compared with June 2015, the index registered a decrease of 29 points from 324. The July index marks the second lowest level so far in 2015. However, it should be noted that the index was higher every month during 2015 when compared with the same month in 2014.

There were more than 62,000 jobs advertised on APEC in July 2015, representing an increase of 2% compared with July 2014. In the 12 months to July 2015, APEC advertised 739,691 job vacancies for professionals, managers, and executives, an increase of 13% compared with the same period the previous year.
