Industrial staffing firm TrueBlue Inc. today announced that President and COO Taryn Owen has been promoted to president and CEO and a member of its board of directors effective Sept. 12. Owen will succeed Steven Cooper, who will step down as CEO and board member and serve in an advisory capacity through the end of the year.
The company also announced Paul Reitz joined the TrueBlue board effective Aug. 11. Reitz is the CEO and board member of Titan International.
Owen joined TrueBlue in 2010; she served as president of TrueBlue operating brands PeopleReady and PeopleScout prior to her promotion to TrueBlue president and COO in September 2022. She has appeared on SIA’s Staffing 100 North America and Global Power 150 lists.
Cooper, who has been with the company for 25 years, initially retired as TrueBlue CEO in 2018 and went on to serve as chairman. In June 2022, he stepped back into the CEO role and will now serve in an advisory capacity through Dec. 31, when he will retire from the company. Cooper is a member of SIA’s Staffing 100 North America Hall of Fame.
