Agilus acquires Ontario-based IT staffing firm The Delivery Group

Agilus Workforce Solutions, a staffing firm that ranks among the largest in Canada, announced that it acquired The Delivery Group, or TDG, a WBE-certified IT staffing provider based in Oakville, Ontario, with an office in Vancouver, British Columbia.

“TDG broadens our ability to offer innovative IT recruiting services to businesses operating in Canada,” Agilus CEO Craig Brown said.

The deal closed on Jan. 11.

Management and others on the TDG team will join the combined company. Terms of the transaction were not announced.

“Agilus’ Canadian platform and longstanding history in the recruitment industry brings a perfect complement to The Delivery Group team,” said Diana De Melo, CEO of TDG. “This acquisition accelerates The Delivery Group’s ability to become a national competitor with an edge to transform the recruitment industry.”

The TDG acquisition follows Agilus’ September 2021 acquisition of the Bowen Group, which at the time ranked as the 19th-largest staffing firm in Canada.

Brown noted in the announcement of the TDG deal that the pandemic has accelerated the need for IT expertise as companies rely more on IT professionals and IT talent solutions to launch technology transformations and other initiatives.

Going forward, Agilus plans to keep the TDG brand.

Agilus is based in Edmonton, Alberta, and employs nearly 200 professionals placing thousands of qualified candidates every year. It has 14 offices across Canada and provides staffing in engineering and technical, IT, office and professional, and light industrial. It has been in operation for 45 years. In 2019, the company adopted the Agilus brand. It was previously Design Group Staffing Inc.
