Volt appoints general counsel

October 25, 2016

Volt Information Sciences Inc. (NYSE MKT: VISI) appointed Nancy Avedissian as senior VP, general counsel and corporate secretary for Volt Information Sciences Inc., effective immediately. She reports to Volt CEO Michael Dean.

Avedissian most recently was general counsel and VP, legal affairs at Worldwide Clinical Trials, where she served as the chief legal advisor to a contract research organization that provides outsourced services to the pharmaceutical industry. Prior to Worldwide Clinical Trials, she practiced for 10 years as a corporate transactional attorney at the international law firm of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP, primarily concentrating in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, and securities and corporate finance.

“Nancy is highly regarded for her expertise in leading organizations through complex legal matters and partnering closely with business leaders in support of corporate goals,” Dean said. “Her breadth of experience will bring a valuable, balanced legal and business-savvy approach to Volt, which will support our strategic growth in the years to come.”

The appointment follows several other recent executive changes.

In June, Volt named Juliana Su as president of its VMC Consulting Corp., which provides technology outsourcing services such as development, quality assurance testing and customer support.

Volt also recently promoted Rhona Driggs to president of Volt Consulting Group, Volt’s MSP service business, and named former ManpowerGroup executive Jorge Perez as president of its Volt North American staffing business. The company also hired Sue Tidswell as senior VP sales of Volt Workforce Solutions; Ann Hollins as chief human resources officer; and Chuck Sperazza as chief information officer.
