March 10, 2016

The Delta Companies, one of the largest providers of healthcare staffing in the US, promoted Bill Tracewell to COO, effective Feb. 29. The role is a new position within the Dallas-based firm.

Tracewell most recently was the executive VP of Delta Healthcare Providers and Delta Physician Placement, the company’s travel therapy and permanent placement businesses.

He joined The Delta Companies in 2001 as a direct hire recruiter and has served in multiple roles throughout the enterprise. He is also a board member of the National Association of Travel Healthcare Organizations, a nonprofit association of travel healthcare organizations, and a certified personnel consultant with the National Association of Personnel Services.

“Bill has extensive operational expertise, a consistent track record for getting results and getting them with a high level of integrity,” said CEO Jeff Bowling. “Bill being promoted to COO provides a solid platform for continued growth, while ensuring our industry-leading customer experience and internal culture will continue to flourish.”

Established in 1997, The Delta Companies counts about 220 internal staff. Its business unit Delta Locum Tenens ranks as the eighth-largest US provider of locum tenens.
