Rochester, New York-based Ceipal, a software-as-a-service platform for the front and back-office business operations of staffing companies, today acquired Zoniac, a California-based applicant tracking system platform for recruiting and consulting firms.

The acquisition creates a larger software engineering team with a capacity to grow and develop these platforms as the company expands its operations in India and the global market, according to the firms.

The Zoniac brand will remain, but all new functionality development will be created for the Ceipal product suite. All Zoniac agreements will be continued with no change in pricing; however, there are pricing benefits to clients switching over to Ceipal within the first three months and Ceipal provides more job board and VMS integrations than the current Zoniac products. Ceipal also offers additional product features such as social media integrations, email integrations, VOIP integrations and eBoarding as well as an artificial intelligence module.

Ceipal has 150 to 200 employees and Zoniac about 50 employees.
