Grafton, Wis.-based Seek Professionals, a sister company of Seek Careers, acquired Minneapolis-based Career Professionals Inc.

CPI, founded in 1989, places candidates in entry-level to midlevel permanent positions in sales, customer service, marketing, management, finance and administrative functions.

The CPI office, located in Edina, Minn., will remain open under the Seek Professionals brand and continue to target the greater Minneapolis area. The transition process is underway. Deb Krueger Knight, former owner and president of CPI, will remain on staff as the new branch manager of the office in Edina; the eight other former CPI staff members will also remain with Seek Professionals.

“It is part of our strategic plan to continue to grow Seek Professionals both locally and nationally,” said Carol Schneider, Seek’s CEO and board chair. “This acquisition brings us closer to achieving those goals.”

Seek Professionals counts five offices throughout Wisconsin, as well as a new branch in Minnesota. It provides executive search placements in senior manufacturing, technical, engineering, IT, accounting, finance, human resources, marketing, sales and account management.
