Power Staffing Solutions, a Toronto-based staffing provider, acquired Hourglass HR, a recruitment and staffing agency based in Ottawa, Ontario.

With the acquisition, Hourglass HR founder Mark Cohen has been appointed as Power Staffing Solutions’ VP. Cohen has more than 30 years of experience in sales, staffing, training, management and development. He will report to Power Staffing Solutions Managing Partner Saye Sathiyakumar.

Meanwhile, Hourglass HR managing director Jonathan Cohen will continue to lead the company as director of operations.

The deal follows Power Staffing Solutions’ acquisition in February of the private homecare organization Stay Home Forever. Power Staffing Solutions was founded in 2018.

Hourglass HR, founded in 2004, provides permanent placement, temporary employment and RPO to the healthcare, IT and engineering sectors.
