Voca, a national staffing firm based in Rochester, Minnesota, announced changes to its senior leadership team. VP Jon Burckhardt is now VP of recruiting, based in Rochester; he has served in a variety of leadership roles across the organization during his eight years at the firm. Senior Director of Sales Josh Loudermilk has been promoted to VP of MSP strategy and formally joins the senior leadership team; based in the Atlanta area, his responsibilities expanded to include building out a team of strategic account managers to lead sales initiatives for Voca’s new and existing MSPs. Richard Krause has joined Voca as VP of operations and will lead the company’s HR and finance groups; he has 12 years of leadership within the staffing industry and is based in the Boston area.

Snagajob, a job board focused on hourly workers, appointed executives Seth Farbman and Karen Kochevar to its board. Farbman most recently served as chief marketing officer of Spotify; he previously held leadership positions at several Fortune 500 companies, including Gap Inc. and AT&T Wireless, and is currently an executive fellow at Yale University. Kochevar is a retired partner and CFO of Union Square Hospitality Group, the New York City-based hospitality company that created Shake Shack, Union Square Cafe and Gramercy Tavern.

The Elliot Group named Sarah Lockyer as its chief brand officer, effective Sept. 7. In addition, she will lead The Elliot Leadership Institute as president; it’s a nonprofit focused on industrywide philanthropic efforts and leadership development. Lockyer previously was group director of The Restaurant & Food Group at Informa plc. The Elliot Group, headquartered in New York, is an executive search and consulting firm targeting the hospitality, foodservice, franchise, fitness, wellness and retail sectors.

HR consulting firm Enspira appointed Alan Mait as president of search. He will lead the Southern California-based firm’s newly created talent acquisition business that includes executive search, in-house recruiting support and optimization of talent acquisition functions. Mait has more than 20 years’ experience as an HR executive search leader.

Managing partners Joanna Monroe and Lia Elliott this month launched Staffing GC, an outsourced general counsel and legal services provider exclusively serving the staffing industry. Monroe served for more than 15 years as VP, deputy general counsel, chief compliance and risk officer at TrueBlue Inc. (NYSE: TBI). Elliott most recently was general counsel for 15 years at Columbus, Indiana-based Elwood Staffing Services Inc.
