Independent workforce solutions provider TalentWave appointed Danny Chupp VP of business solutions. Chupp will be based in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area. Before joining TalentWave, Chupp held sales leadership roles with Oracle and meaConnect.

Strategic Staffing Solutions announced Juan Madroñero as its new Detroit branch manager, the company’s largest branch. Madroñero is returning to the US after spending 14 years working abroad for firms such as Barclay’s and UBS. Strategic Staffing Solutions ranks on Staffing Industry Analysts’ list of largest US staffing firms.

Globalization Partners, a professional employer organization, named David Hughson as national director of business development. Hughson will report to Jane Booth, senior director of sales. Prior to Globalization Partners, Hughson was director of channel and business development for Radius.

Executive search firm Heidrick & Struggles International Inc. (NASD: HSII) added Sean McLean as a partner to establish a new office in Calgary and a Western Canada market presence for the firm. McLean most recently was a managing partner in the Calgary office of another international executive search firm, leading the oil and gas practice.
