Medical Solutions, an Omaha, Nebraska-based healthcare staffing provider, promoted Amber Ireland to chief marketing officer. Ireland succeeds Joe Greene, who recently announced his retirement. Ireland has been with Medical Solutions since 2018 and has 21 years of industry experience. Prior to Medical Solutions, Ireland held several leadership roles at PPR Talent Management Group before its acquisition by Medical Solutions in 2018.

AMS, a global provider of talent acquisition outsourcing and advisory services, appointed Nikki Hall as chief people officer. Hall brings more than 25 years of experience to AMS and most recently served as global chief people and transformation officer at international education provider Study Group. Based in Atlanta, Hall’s appointment strengthens AMS’ executive leadership presence in North America.

Floyd Lee Locums, a North Charleston, South Carolina-based locums tenens staffing firm, promoted Joanna Van Oss to VP of learning and development from director of training and development. A 25-year staffing veteran, Oss joined Floyd Lee Locums in 2021 as curriculum development consultant. Prior to Floyd Lee Locums, Oss held several leadership roles at General Healthcare Resources.

Gifted Healthcare, a healthcare staffing provider based in New Orleans, expanded its leadership team with the appointment of Scott Mevers as VP of its newly launched interim leadership service line. A 17-year industry veteran, Meyers most recently served as associate VP at B.E. Smith.

Gloat, an AI-powered talent marketplace for internal career opportunities, appointed Arianna Huffington to its board. An entrepreneur and author, Huffington is CEO of Thrive Global, a behavior change technology company she founded in 2016.

Allegiance Staffing LLC, a Spring, Texas-based staffing firm, appointed Danny Minor as president. Minor succeeds Tom Landry, who will continue as director during the transition. Minor has been with Allegiance Staffing since its inception and has held several leadership roles, including director of operations. In addition, Minor became a co-owner and partner in the company in December 2022, along with Andrea Lussier, who has also been with Allegiance Staffing since 2002. As part of the executive leadership transition, Allegiance Staffing also announced changes to its board. Joe Ryan will serve as VP, Lussier will serve as treasurer and Shannon Davis will be the secretary.

Overwatch, a veteran-owned professional services, recruiting and consulting business based in Austin, Texas, appointed Scott MacIntire as VP of veteran development. MacIntire previously served seven years in the US Marine Corps and has worked in data center operations, technology consulting and cloud computing since he left the military.

The Association of Executive Search and Leadership Consultants announced 2023 officers and the appointments of five new directors to its global board:

Nick Chambers, Toronto-based partners at Boyden.

Toni Clayton-Hine, CMO for EY Americas and based in New York.

Matrice Ellis-Kirk, CEO and partner of the Ellis Kirk Group in Dallas.

Nicola Mirza, a partner at Johnson and Partners and based in Auckland, New Zealand.

Sophie Wigniolle, a partner with Eric Salmon & Partners and based in Paris.

The AESC also announced Emanuela Aureli, a London-based partner at Spencer Stuart, will continue to serve as AESC global chair. Julian Ha, a Washington, DC-based partner at Heidrick & Struggles International Inc., will continue to serve as AESC vice chair. Cathy Logue, Toronto-based managing director at Stanton Chase, will serve as AESC secretary and treasurer. Morten Nielsen, a Cleveland-based senior partner at WittKieffer, will serve another term as AESC chair emeritus.
