Nurse staffing firm Gifted Healthcare announced Donna Bowers joined the Tulsa, Okla., office as the division director. She most recently was a nurse navigator at Cancer Treatment Centers of America and previously worked at Saint Francis Health System in a variety of roles, most recently as an administrative supervisor. Gifted is based in New Orleans.  

Update Legal, the fourth-largest legal staffing firm in the US, added Julian Brown as executive VP to lead its sales and marketing organization. He most recently was VP of business development at a nationwide eDiscovery and managed review provider. Previously, Brown launched legal staffing company Clearwater Legal, which he sold in 2014 to Choice Legal. 

Executive search firm Heidrick & Struggles International Inc. (NASD: HSII) added Gustavo Alba to the firm. He will be based in the New York office. Alba most recently was managing partner of Beecher Reagan’s New York office; prior to that, he was the head of global recruiting at Booz & Co.

Alliance Resource Group, an Irvine, Calif.-based staffing firm targeting the finance and accounting sector, announced Kyle Sakata will lead its new office in Los Angeles as managing director. He previously served as a financial controller in the action sports field and has 14 years’ experience in Orange County and Silicon Valley managing accounting and finance recruiting teams.
