Advantis Medical, a travel nurse staffing firm, named Todd Simpson as chief financial officer effective April 24.  Simpson comes to Advantis Medical from MRINetwork where he held the role of CFO/COO since 2019. Prior to MRINetwork, he spent 15 years with CDI where he last served as divisional CFO.

Uniti Med, an Omaha, Nebraska-based healthcare staffing firm, promoted Chris Sund to president and COO effective April 14. Sund joined the Uniti Med team in 2021 and has more than seven years of healthcare staffing experience.

BGSF Inc., a staffing firm based in Plano, Texas, appointed Donna Carroll to its board. Carroll has served as founder and president of Human Factor LLC since July 2020. Carroll’s experience prior to that includes chief sales officer at healthcare staffing firm Supplemental Health Care.

Janet Elkin, president and CEO at IMN Enterprises, will lead the company’s new healthcare staffing business, MedAdventures. IMN’s other businesses are Icon Medical Network and Independence Anesthesia Services. Elkin appeared on the 2022 Global Power 150 list of women in staffing.

ZipRecruiter Inc. reported that Amy Garefis resigned as principal accounting officer effective April 23; however, Garefis will continue in her role as chief people officer. To fill the principal accounting officer role, ZipRecruiter appointed Lora Bartolome, who has served as the company’s VP of accounting since October 2020 and controller since January 2022. Bartolome previously served as senior director of accounting from January 2020 to October 2020. Prior to ZipRecruiter, Bartolome held several roles at Anschutz Entertainment Group.

N2Growth, a Philadelphia-based global leadership consulting and executive search firm, named Armin Effendi as managing partner for its Malaysia and Southeast Asian operations. Effendi has more than 35 years of experience. He joins N2Growth from Korn Ferry, where he served as country chairman in Kuala Lumpur. Effendi will report to CEO Kelli Vukelic.
