Hospital, staffing firm settle hepatitis C lawsuit (seacoastonline.com)

October 24, 2016

Lawyers for Exeter Hospital last week reached a settlement with American HealthCare Systems, a staffing agency, over a former technician linked to a hepatitis C outbreak, seacoastonline.com reported. The former technician, David Kwiatkowski, started serving a 39-year prison sentence in December 2013 after pleading guilty to charges that he stole syringes of Fentanyl — a powerful anesthetic — that were intended for patients, injected himself with the drug and then refilled the tainted syringes with saline for use on patients.
