Alphabet, the parent company of Google, on Sept. 13 announced it is laying off hundreds of workers from its global recruiting team as the tech giant continues to slow hiring, Reuters reported. The company, however, said the reduction is not part of a wide-scale layoff and emphasized its commitment to retain a significant majority of the team for hiring critical roles.
