Focus Search Partners acquires tech search firm

Focus Search Partners, A Vaco company, acquired San Francisco-based technology search firm Charlson Partners.

The transaction closed March 15; terms were not disclosed. The Charlson Partners brand will transition to Focus Search Partners.

The acquisition expands Focus Search’s nationwide footprint into the technology industry.

Charlson Partners conducts senior executive search assignments for enterprise technology and service companies. Their client base includes some of the largest enterprise technology platforms in the world, as well as Silicon Valley’s top private equity-owned and venture capital-backed organizations, according to the firm.

Charlson Partners’ executives remain with the firm, with founder Adam Charlson taking the role of managing partner.

Focus Search Partners, the retained executive search division of Vaco, was founded in Nashville, Tenn., in 2010. Vaco provides consulting, contract and direct hire services in sectors including accounting, finance, technology, healthcare, operations, administration and more.
