Firms cutting pay of remote workers who move to less-expensive cities (Bloomberg)

Technology company VMware, headquartered in Palo Alto, California, will reduce the salaries of workers who accept the offer of working remote permanently and choose to move outside Silicon Valley for less-expensive locations, Bloomberg reports. Those moving to Denver, for example, must accept an 18% salary reduction. Facebook and Twitter are among other tech firms that have or are considering similar policies.
