Online marketplace Etsy has called for changes to make things easier for gig economy workers, Fortune reports. They include a requirement for gig economy companies to withhold money for taxes and benefits if self-employed workers ask them to, the magazine reported. “The changes would make it easier for millions of workers — including the thousands of people who sell things on Etsy — to avail themselves of existing programs like flexible health and commuter spending accounts.”
