Incoming Southwest Airlines CEO Robert Jordan told Business Insider that it’s tougher to find applicants. Southwest used to receive 43 applicants per opening and now sees only about 14. The environment is so tough that some companies are taking unusual steps to recruit workers. Jordan said he visited a drive-thru at a Dallas Whataburger and his order was given to him with a job application stapled to the bag.
