Best Staffing Firms to Work For, Yessne winner receive honors — Executive Forum

Winners of the Best Staffing Firms to Work For competition and the Best Staffing Firms to Temp For were announced today at Staffing Industry Analysts’ Executive Forum in Phoenix.

In addition, the Peter Yessne Staffing Leadership award was also formally presented today at the conference to Janice Bryant Howroyd, founder and CEO of Act●1 Group, as previously announced.

The Best Staffing Firms to Work For lists have been produced annually since 2011, but this year there are several changes, including more categories. Monster Worldwide Inc. sponsored the awards.

Top winners among the Best Staffing firms to Work For (internal workers) this year for North America with the high scores include:

  • Ro Health (10- to 20-employee category)
  • Onestaff Medical LLC (21- to 50-employee category)
  • LiquidAgents Healthcare (51- to 200-employee category)
  • CHG Healthcare Services (201-plus employee category)

While those were the top winners, each category also had finalist winners based score. Here are the North American finalist winners listed alphabetically by category:

In addition, UK-based firms also participated and winners were announced in two categories.

Understanding Recruitment Ltd. was the top winner with the highest score in the 10- to 50-employee category. Quanta Consultancy Services was the top winner 51-plus employee category.

Finalist winners with scores placing high enough to be in the 10- to 50-employee category include Vantage Consulting and Senitor Associates Limited. The finalist winner in the 51-plus employee category was G2V Recruitment Group Ltd.

In addition to the Best Saffing Firm to Work For (internal workers) category, there was a contest for the Best Staffing Firms to Temp For (external workers).

Top winner with the high score in this category was Fusion Medial Staffing.

Finalist winners, which had net promoter scores above 50, that qualified in this category (in alphabetical order) include:

  • Mutex Systems Inc
  • Roth Staffing Companies
  • Signature Consultants

Regarding methodology, 182 staffing firms took part in the “Best Staffing Firms to Work For” program this year, which was conducted for Staffing Industry Analysts by Quantum Workplace, an Omaha, Neb.-based company.

Internal employees at each firm taking part were asked to complete a 40-question online survey that measures 10 key engagement categories focusing on items including teamwork, trust in senior leaders, feeling valued, manager effectiveness, compensation and benefits.

In order to gather statistically sound results, participating companies must have reached a minimum level of employee participation, based on total number of employees. Responses from each question of each completed survey were compiled and evaluated. Companies were ranked in each size category according to their overall composite score. Winners were chosen based entirely on the survey results.

The Best Staffing Firms to Temp For were ranked based on their Net Promoter Score, which was calculated based on temps’ responses to questions like how likely is it they would recommend this staffing firm to a friend.

The Executive Forum continues today through Thursday.
