Staffing Industry Analysts announced today that Janice Bryant Howroyd, founder and CEO of Act•1 Group, will receive the 2016 Peter Yessne Staffing Leadership Award. The award will be presented on Feb. 24 during the Staffing Industry Executive Forum in Phoenix.

In taking Act•1 from a single-office staffing operation in California to a thriving billion dollar plus global enterprise, and the largest woman and minority-owned workforce management company in the US, Janice has built an organization which serves our entire industry with its insights and expertise.”

Bryant Howroyd launched ACT•1 Group — now the largest workforce solutions company founded in the US by a minority woman — in 1978 with $1,500, which included a $900 loan from her mother. Today, the company delivers on a global scale with about 12,000 clients and offices throughout North America, Latin America, Asia and Europe.

The annual Peter Yessne Staffing Leadership Award was created to honor the founder and former chairman of Staffing Industry Analysts, Peter Yessne.
