Jobless claims fall by 6,000

U.S. initial claims for unemployment insurance fell by 6,000 in the week ended Aug. 28 to 472,000, a decline of 1.3% from the previous week, according to seasonally adjusted numbers released today by the U.S. Department of Labor.
