Methodology
The ranking of the World’s Largest Staffing and Recruitment Firms is based on sales generated in calendar year 2014. The ranking was created using data from third-party sources, data sup-plied directly by the firms, and/or estimates based on Staffing Industry Analysts’ research and calculations. “Staffing Revenue” is defined as revenue generated from the provision of temporary workers to business clients, as well as from “place and search” services (direct hire/permanent placement and retained search), and revenue from “temp-to-hire” conversions. The revenues in this ranking may, therefore, differ from the total revenues reported by these companies in their public disclosures. Consultancies have been excluded as they have a different business model, taking on responsibility for specific projects and not just the provision of fixed-term workers. Exchange rate conversions were based on average annual rates in 2014 (source: www.oanda.com) with the EUR to USD = 1.3291.
