EmployBridge names president of commercial division, appoints SeatonCorp co-founder to board

Employbridge Holding Company named Hugo Malan as president of its portfolio of commercial brands, a new position within the firm, and also appointed industry leader Michael Miles to its board of directors.

Malan will oversee the ProLogistix, ResourceMFG, Select and ProDrivers brands.

Malan most recently was executive VP and president of talent and technology solutions for engineering and IT staffing provider CDI Corp. (NYSE: CDI). Prior to CDI, Malan held a variety of roles at Sears Holdings, initially as president of the sports and fitness business, and later also as president of the toys business. Previously, he was managing director and global head of talent strategy at Lehman Brothers, and he later moved to a similar role as managing director at Barclays Capital.

Michael Miles

Miles is the founder of SeatonCorp, The Operand Group and INCubatoredu. He is included in the 2014 Staffing 100 list of the most influential people in the industry, and received the Peter Yessne Staffing Innovator Award from Staffing Industry Analysts in 2013.

In 1988, Miles co-founded Chicago-based staffing provider SeatonCorp, which TrueBlue Inc. (NYSE: TBI) acquired in 2014 for $310 million. In 2012, he founded INCubatoredu a national non-profit program teaching high school students how to start a business. And in 2015, he co-founded The Operand Group, a private equity fund investing in search funds. Miles is also a board member at Penn Foster, Workplace Answers, Caravel, The Intersect Group and Insertech.

Atlanta-based EmployBridge ranks seventh on Staffing Industry Analysts’ 2016 list of largest US staffing firms and second on the list of largest industrial staffing firms in the US. The Select Family of Staffing Companies acquired the company last year for $410 million.
