EmployBridge acquires hourly staffing platform Bluecrew

EmployBridge, the largest industrial staffing firm in the US, announced on Nov. 9 that it completed its acquisition of Bluecrew, a Chicago-based online provider of industrial workers on a W-2 basis.

The deal was first announced on Oct. 5.

According to the terms of the agreement, the seller, IAC/InterActiveCorp (NASDAQ: IAC), has received consideration in the form of cash and combined company stock, making it a minority shareholder in the combined company.

The acquisition is expected to generate more than $4 billion in annual pro forma revenue.

“We are pleased to complete our acquisition of Bluecrew and excited to officially bring our teams together as we continue our work to create a leading national workforce management platform,” EmployBridge CEO Billy Milam said.

“Bluecrew’s digital-first approach and sophisticated product offerings further expand the capabilities of EmployBridge’s distinguished platform, and we are looking forward to continuing to enhance how we provide unique value for both clients and talent during a critical time for our industry.”

EmployBridge was assisted by RBC Capital Markets, Evercore, and Houlihan Lokey in the deal.

Atlanta-based EmployBridge puts more than 450,000 temporary associates to work annually across 446 offices in 48 states. It was acquired by Apollo Global Management Inc. in 2021.
