Insight Global names new CEO; founder remains executive chairman

Insight Global, the third-largest IT staffing provider in the US, promoted Bert Bean to CEO from his previous role as president. Founder and former CEO Glenn Johnson will remain as executive chairman.

“Bert Bean is absolutely the right person for the job,” Johnson said. “Bert and I have worked closely, and he has been preparing for this opportunity for the past several years. I couldn’t think of anyone better to lead Insight Global into the future.”

Bean began at Insight global as a recruiter 13 years ago, and worked his way up at the company through its “promote from within” culture. Bean took on CEO responsibilities a few months ago in preparation for the formal announcement, which took place at Insight Global’s national sales conference on Jan. 13 in Orlando, Fla.

Insight Global has more than 43 regional offices across the US and Canada. In addition to being the third-largest IT staffing firm, Insight Global ranks on SIA’s list of fastest-growing staffing firms, where it is the largest firm, in terms of revenue, on the list.
