Compunnel Software Group, Inc., a business technology services and staffing provider, acquired Sherwood Consulting, dba Base36 Inc., an IT staffing and technical consulting firm headquartered in Saco, Maine.

Sherwood Consulting/Base36 operates three branches in Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts. It currently has 100 resources on billing and 25 employees in these branches.

The transaction closed April 8. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The Base36 brand will not remain, but executive Mike Sherwood will remain in the company as director of staffing services.

Compunnel, headquartered in Plainsboro, NJ, provides IT consulting and staffing, custom business application development, eLearning and enterprise applications. It currently has 22 branches across the US and has more than 2,000 resources in North America. Compunnel closed the 2015 fiscal year with revenue of $125 million.
