ShiftKey announces four new top executives in wake of $300 million funding round

ShiftKey on Tuesday announced four new executive hires: a CFO, chief marketing officer, chief product officer and chief strategy officer. The new executives come with experience at firms such as Figs Inc., Snagajob and AMN Healthcare Services Inc.

“Between the four of these executives, you have the intersection of technology, workforce, strategic finance and investment and business strategy and marketing,” founder and CEO Tom Ellis said.

The news follows ShifKey’s announcement earlier this month of a $300 million funding round valuing the company at more than $2 billion.

Dallas-based ShiftKey’s platform enables healthcare facilities to bring in and schedule on-call staff such as nurses. It attempts to eliminate the need for hospitals to use healthcare staffing firms by providing access to ShiftKey’s own software for credentialing, managing schedules and posting open orders.

Its new executive hires are:

  • Jeff Lawrence, CFO. Lawrence brings more than 25 years of experience and previously served as CFO at Figs Inc., an apparel and lifestyle brand that he led to an initial public offering. Lawrence also spent more than 20 years at Domino’s Pizza Inc.
  • Ryan Bonifacino, chief marketing officer. Bonifacino has nearly 20 years of experience. He most recently served as chief digital officer at Figs and he has held roles at firms such as Serta Simmons Bedding and Alex and Ani.
  • Thomas Fredell, chief product officer. Fredell previously served as chief product officer for Datasite and as CTO at Snagajob.
  • Brian Scott, chief strategy officer. Scott most recently served as CFO for TheKey, a private-pay provider of home care services. Prior to that, he spent more than a decade as the CFO at AMN Healthcare Services Inc.

“As ShiftKey moves into this next phase of growth, I’m confident in their experience to not only bring strategic leadership but empower their teams so that ShiftKey can continue to drive real impact in our communities and economy,” Ellis said.
