ZIGExN Co., Ltd acquires Teichaku

26 March 2024

Japan-based ZIGExN Co., Ltd., announced that it has acquired all shares of Teichaku Inc., via its subsidiary BrainLab.

The total price of the acquisition is JPY 67 million (USD 442,913).

Brainlab, incorporated in 2002, a subsidiary of ZIGExN, is involved in the development and sales of business management systems for job placement and temporary staffing agencies.

Teichaku, based in Tokyo, plans, develops, and operates "+one step," an official ‘Line' communications app) extension tool that can support everything from recruitment (marketing automation) to job turnover prevention in a single step. The tool reaches out to job seekers with whom the company has had contact with in the past and to reduce employee turnover.

Its main clients are job placement and temporary staffing agencies as well as companies that want to increase their employee retention rates.

Through this acquisition of shares, Teichaku will collaborate with BrainLab to expand TAM (total available market) by expanding its product line-up, acquire a new customer base, and increase earnings through cross-selling to existing customers. It aims to build and strengthen a comprehensive supply chain that can provide a full range of services, from attracting job seekers to hiring, employment management, and retention support.

“In the area of employee retention support, we believe that medium- to long-term demand can be expected to continue due to the need for retention support against the backdrop of high turnover rates in certain industries and the growing importance of retaining excellent human resources against the backdrop of a liquid labour market and intensifying competition for human resources,” Teichaku stated.

ZIGExN Co.,Ltd. operates in two business segments. Its Life Media Platform segment is engaged in the development, operation and maintenance of media that integrate information from multiple online sites and paper media, specialised media that matches users and customers for specific industries and regions, as well as application service provider (ASP) services.

The Life Media Platform segment includes three fields: human resources field, real estate field and living field.  The Others segment is engaged in the plan, development, operation and maintenance of new development services centered on the user billing model, leveraging the knowledge of the existing life media platform business.
