Recruit Holdings Co. Ltd. (6098:TYO) warned on 24 January of a scam involving fake outsourcing contracts that claim to be from the company.

“Over the past few days, it has come to our attention that there have been instances of individuals being offered fake outsourcing contracts in the name of Recruit Holdings, through social media or on ‘PeoplePerHour,’ a UK crowdsourcing website,” according to Recruit’s notice. “These messages request a deposit before any commission fees are paid.”

Recruit said it has no association with the fake contracts or the sender of the messages.

It strongly advises individuals to exercise cautions if they receive outsourcing requests from anyone who claims to be from Recruit.
