Demand for IT talent in Vietnam is expected to grow, reports Viet Jo, citing research from Adecco Vietnam. According to Adecco Vietnam, digital transformation, automation, telework, are seeing increased demand due to the impact of Covid-19. Adecco noted that with the trend shifting toward telecommuting and digitalisation, proficiency in digital tools, creativity, remote management skills, trust-building skills, and critical thinking are essential.

Adecco Vietnam noted that in the manufacturing industry, relocating factories to rural areas will enable reductions in labour costs and access to the local workforce. In recent years, many manufacturers have been moving in this direction. Adecco Vietnam also said that in the long run, companies will need to review their executive compensation policies in order to retain skilled workers.
