Persol Holdings Co. Ltd. (2181:TYO) warned that suspicious emails purporting to be from the company have been received by individuals outside of Japan. The company, which ranks as the second-largest staffing firm in the country, warned anyone who receives such an email to delete it without opening or responding.

“Please note that suspicious e-mails are being sent from ‘ceo@persolgroups-jp.com,’ and they contain information regarding the establishment of Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV). However, please be aware that ‘ceo@persolgroups-jp.com’ is not an email address associated with our company,” Persol said in a statement.

The company is working to continue strengthening its information security, according to the statement.

Separately, Persol released second-quarter earnings today.
